Contical
A private calendar for one family. It holds the week, the shared notes and what the caregivers are owed, so that a household and the people who help run it are looking at the same thing.
What it does
Parents and caregivers share one calendar, with each event coloured by whoever is covering it. Notes are lists anyone can tick off. Hours worked add up into a weekly total for each caregiver, which a parent can mark as paid. That is the whole of it.
It is invite-only
There is no sign-up, and nothing on this site creates an account. A parent adds each person from inside the app, and anyone whose email address is not already on their family's list is turned away at sign-in. If you have arrived here without an invitation, there is nothing here for you to use.
Signing in, and your password
Sign-in goes through Google. Your password is typed on Google's own site and never on this one — Contical is told only that Google recognised you, and your email address. There is no password field anywhere in this application, and no password stored in its database.
What it stores
Calendar events, shared notes, and pay records for the family's caregivers. It handles no payments and moves no money: a week marked paid records that someone was paid, it does not pay them. If you have asked for it, it sends one email a day summarising your schedule, from noreply@conticalendar.com. Usage analytics are cookieless and record the shape of a page's address rather than the address itself, so the identifiers of your notes and events never leave the server.
Who runs it
Contical is a personal project, built and run by one family for their own household. It is not a company, it is not for sale, and it is not looking for users.
